I admit I have never been a fan of the ooo’s and aaaah’s of the fireworks or the crowds normally associated with them. I am however a fan of the meaning behind the celebration and why I think everyone should take at least a moment to remember. It’s a celebration to commemorate the courage and faith of our founding fathers in their pursuit of liberty.
The same pursuit the men and women of our armed forces are helping others to do in various parts of the world. Whether you were born here or you immigrated here, you must always remember that the freedom you enjoy today is a privilege earned by courageous men an women who stood for something great. Freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
You must also remember that freedom although a great word with tremendous symbolism is NEVER FREE.
Here’s some great sites to learn more about the Fourth.
