Here’s a message from the Iowa chapter of Operation Homefront.  As you know I was the Dubuque area representative for the Backpack Brigade and with that in mind I wanted to share information about the latest project.  Here’s the latest from Michelle Reuss
Chapter President Operation Homefront Iowa

“We are going to fill a 1000  stockings on Saturday Dec. 5th to send over to our troops and we are needing to ask once more for your help we are falling short on things to put in them,we are looking for small trinkets fun things to put in them like little hand held games holiday chocolates anything that shows the warmth from our homes to them.

I understand that with the way the economy is we are all a little tighter with our funds but just remember these Men and Women are away from thier families and need that little lift me up that is what we are trying to accomplish.

Again I want to thank you all for the help you all have given already and with everyone just pulling together we can make sure all the stockings are filled and no one is left out.

You can make an online DONATION and we will go buy the stuff for you, just go to  http://www.facebook.com/l/4133f;Operationhomefront.net/Iowa and go to donation button easy and safe to use, and just because its says Iowa remember the stockings are going to all from all over place.

You can also send gifts or checks to Operationhomefront Iowa  P.O. Box 313 Riverside,Ia 52327 And if you live near Riverside you can drop off at the Trinity Methodist Church in Riverside on 2nd st on Saturday.
