Dubuque area’s Robb Beltran, of The Belstar Group, will be a guest on Chicago’s “Money Smart Radio” on WAIT AM 850 with Matthew Sapaula on Thursday, May 14.

Beltran will be discussing his new “Consumer Economic Briefing” series. The series, which will begin in Dubuque this month, is a free event focusing on a variety of economic concerns.

“Turbulent times, plant closings, pension terminations, corporate bankruptcies and volatile markets emphasize the need for accurate financial information,” Beltran said.

The first briefing will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, at the Northeast Iowa Community College Dubuque Town Clock Center.

Attendees will receive a 24-item economic concerns checklist, covering topics from medical insurance to education funding.

They can check off the items that are of primary interest to them personally and the information will be entered into a computer database. As future events unfold, they will receive information bulletins by mail or e-mail.
